Israel is responsible for the deaths of the 60 Palestinians killed. And that brutality must be condemned as a crime against humanity.
At the same time, I’m deeply horrified that 12 African countries stood on the wrong side of history (again) while this was happening.

You’d think we’d learned from our failure as a state to stand up to apartheid -era South Africa.

Shame on the governments of 12 African countries who participated in Israel’s celebrations of the U.S. embassy’s move to Jerusalem—Nigeria, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Zambia. When the Israeli army killed 60 Palestinian protests, South Africa withdrew its ambassador and condemned the killing of Palestinian protestors at the Gaza border. Egypt and most European Union countries boycotted the event.
