The Gambia's Young Scorpions saw off second round African Youth Championship qualifying opponents Sierra Leone 4-1 on goal aggregate
after a goalless draw in Freetown Saturday.The Boys played gallantly to defend a massive advantage that sealed a third round slot against Ivory Coast or Tanzania whose results were not out as we went to press.
The Gambian Coach Lamin Sarr who stepped in to guide the team as the GFA scout for a coach, made good of his promise to qualify over Sierra Leone and probably increases his chances of staying on the seat ''I told you we are here to complete the task we began in Banjul,'' he told newsman at the Siaka Stevens Stadium..
