Whereabouts of Dr Tamsir Mbowe remains mystery

The whereabouts of one time Health Minister Dr Tamsir Mbowe remains a mystery after his reported detention by state
security operatives. Sources have told Jollof News that the former head of the country’s main hospital, the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), was arrested in connection to some drugs theft, which he is alleged to have taken to his private clinic in Kanifing.
The government, in a rather familiar mode of operandi, given the entrenched prevailing culture of opacity in the country, has not said a word about the whereabouts of the former Health Minister. But the pro-government Daily Observer newspaper last Thursday published an official press release announcing his replacement as chief medical director of the RVTH. He was replaced by Dr Mammady Cham, formerly director of Health Services at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
As health minister between late 2004 and 2007 when he was dismissed, Dr. Mbowe was very instrumental in President Yahya Jammeh's widely criticised HIV/AIDS treatment. During this period, Mbowe concurrently runs a private clinic housed at his Kanifing Estate compound which he has over the years transformed into a minor hospital now located in a bigger compound at Kanifing Layout.
Like President Yahya Jammeh’s Presidential Treatment Programme, which has no limit in its appropriation of public properties and institutions, Dr Mbowe’s private clinic has been a subject of constant debate with regards to the source of his medicaments.

Imagine, Yahya Jammeh using governemtn properties for his shameless treatments, vehicles, working time, Serekunda General Hospital, the State, and Dr Mbowe is doing just the same thing with his clinic, and now Yahya wants another scape goat he disown Dr Mbowe. What kind of person is Yahya Jammeh for God's sake? He is not the one who gave Dr Mbowe that big piece of land in Kanifing layout, just because Mbowe decided to compromise his conventional medical practice by endorsing Jammeh's proposterous acts? What is the difference between both Mbowe and Jammeh, anyway?
Everyone in government knows who the biggest thief is in GAMBIA.
This Jammeh is manipulative to anyone, be it friend or family, just to be constantly on Gambians faces, telling them that he is the prophet send by God to defend their coffer.
Enjoy a lavish life never seen in current African head of state including our richer sister country Senegal.
It is a mockery to Civil servants who works day and night for Gambia, while Jammeh will take credit of their work, spending millions and living extreme lavish life. Money no one knows or ignores its source.
As mentioned earlier, everyone knows who the biggest thief is, in that small and poor country, Gambia.
