Venezuelan Deputy FM: No Donation Has Been Made To Gambia

Minister_Temir_PorrasVenezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Temir Porras denied the information provided by the head of the Rural Electrification Project in Gambia, Lang Sabally
The Venezuelan government said it has not donated USD 22 million to overhaul the electricity grid in Gambia, contrary to the statements made in Banjul by a Gambian official, reported Venezuelan official news agency AVN. Minister_Temir_Porras
Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister Temir Porras published on his Twitter account that such information was false. "This is false," tweeted Porras.
The head of the Rural Electrification Project in Gambia, Lang Sabally, said at a news conference Monday that Venezuela had donated USD 22 million to finance the overhaul of the Gambian power grid and improve its energy coverage, as quoted by AFP.
The funding of the rural electrification project should make possible the "revamping, overhaul, and extension of the power grid in the capital Banjul and its surroundings," said Sabally.

Lamin...why do you always praise your critics...first... and then proceed to slowly turn the "knife" in there back.?

Are you seeking approval? Are you suffering from an inferiority complex against the wazungu?

Is your self esteem so low?

Just what is your problem...with us white folks.

So your British sponsor...bought you education in the US...

So what?

If you have a grudge you cannot control

Then go home and camp outside Kanilai.

I bet Jammeh wouldn't even piss on you.

Kankang…….how many people in all the papers you visit do you keep calling good sons of Yahya Jammeh (your Gambia), whenever they turn away from Yahya jammeh? You think this lad who spend all his “life” talking about Toubabs that Toubabs this and never denounce anything about the list of human rights abuses documented on Gambians and the poverty and underdevelopmen t is good son of Gambia. This lad does not seem to know better or want better for himself nor for Gambia. He is just home sick and stress and missed ataya and his mbahal. If you think I am not good son of Gambia like your cousins O…K…pa…. who share the same view like me..then good means bad 4 U..Are U a good son to Ya K like them?

God, You seem confused ML....Who give a fuck about western world? They just human beings like you but used their skulls and knowledge to address their problems. I am in Gambia always and even give things and brought Westerns to help to help fight these illnesses from my own limited pocket. Now u have read and knew about these tropical diseases, is a relief to your silly Qs “where are they from” Instead of burying your head in these sentimental Toubab and Needkounjul craps, find out how the Toubabs managed their problems and environment to do the same for your people instead of this self-pity and complex inferiority.. SUMARAKKA, YOUR HOME IS YOURS BUT GAMBIA IS NOT “YOURS” NOR DO people want to live in poorly, undeveloped and undemocratic. Same sentimental craps Gambians hear from Yahya jammeh while he run to buy the best the western can offer to him and his family...just like how you been help by westerners to venture in USA U wrote here.

When you say am angry of with the West you make me laugh. I say what I know about them and you judge me chronic ignorant and angry? Who should I be angry with? A global problem which politician upon politician cannot address is the one I should be worried of ? My brother am only angry when I fail to overcome my challenges or obligations not a global challenge that is expected to be address by politicians.Thank you for the debate and enough is enough let those with neutral senses read and judge who is ignorant.

Cont from below:
Is a disease that is found in Africa and America. Spread to humans through insect bites. In Africa the fly responsible is called Testse fly and in America the insect is called Reduviid. In America alone 16million to 18million currently have the disease. Approximately 50,000 may die from the disease each year. Cryptosporidium is a worldwide disease and people vulnerable are people who take medication to suppress their immune system, people with HIV/AIDS or transplant recipients. Those at higher risk include animal handlers, men who have sex with men and young children. Outbreaks could be linked to swimming in contaminated pools and lakes and drinking unpasteurized cider. Well my brother giving these examples were those it tell us causes are due to poverty? You have really betrayed Africa and here you say you have concern for Gambia and Africa. With regards to Gambia Google out the WHO report and see the giant steps the Gambia has taken.

Being label as a poor continent interms of economic it is always associated with diseases and the person vulnerable to diseases is the poor but some breaks of diseases are due to the environment (weather) you live. You know African environment or weather allows some organisms or insects to survive that is not possible to survive in the western weather. So associating Africa with diseases is a big disappointment to your knowledge and a betrayal to the African continent which believes it’s us who can change that western mentality of Africa. Hepatitis B is one of the most common infectious diseases in the world not specifying Africa or Asia. Is passed from one person to the other by blood or blood fluid. Infection is either acute or chronic. 2 billion people die worldwide of the disease. Dengue another infectious disease, reported 2000 deaths in America for the year 2002. Tryponosomiasis , a name derived from the Greek, trypano(borer) and sonia(body).

Cholera, Hepatitis, Dengue, trypanosomiasis , Cryptosporidios is, Malaria (Annually,1.5 million die(1 million in Africa South of Sahara), Measles, River Blindness, Typhoid Fever etc etc …These diseases are solely cause by poverty, bad sanitation, malnutrition, tropical insects, wars, corruption, illiteracy, and dictators….Even Gambians at primary school learns these at school to be aware of the importance of healthy food and hygiene to fight these diseases. You sound very angry on westerners and it’s making u a very chronic ignorant person. All these diseases killing millions yearly in Africa is curable and preventable and carried by insects or found in dirty food and drink as a result of poverty. Mr, you are derailing from what is important for me .i.e. Gambians and Africans to live in a Civilised, Modern, Developed, Just and Democratic society. All these unnecessary biblical deaths will be history. U are confused to know what Gambians are encountering with this despot Jammeh.
