US-Based “Beef-Burger Desk-Top Revolutionary” Condemns “Sell-Out” Gambia-Based Opponents!

MK_Jallow__Halake(Opinion) - (But Matthew K. Jallow will not abandon his beloved beef-burger & beer to lead his apparently equally beloved “revolution”!!)
Authored by Mathew K Jallow, JoolfNews 11 Aug 2011.
Reviewed (italicised) by Dida Jallow-Halake (no relations whatsoever to author!)

“This reality (Of course Matthew knows the “reality” in The Gambia, from which he ran away some twenty-years ago, better than those who have NEVER abandoned it!)  was encapsulated in two recent editorials primed (“printed” surely!) on the pages of both The Point and Foroyaa Newspapers. Once again, impelled by dogma and fixated on scoring cheap political points, PDOIS set the blogosphere ablaze with its moral grandiosity and delusional politicalMK_Jallow__Halake brinkmanship; all to no effect. But what drives PDOIS’s veneer of messianic sanctimony (Ha! Repeat that again Matthew – did you say “messianic sanctimony”! Heard of the “kettle calling the pot black?”?) and its sense of its mythical aura, also drives its inflated sense of its political statute (come, come Metthew, “statute”? Or you mean to say “Stature” – one little “r” makes a big difference professor Matthew!) and clouds its sense of objective judgment (Like when MK Jallow humbly declared himself the best person to be President of The Gambia?) By its imperial pontification (you mean that like you, they think they know best?) PDOIS has seized the opportunity to gleefully; if not maliciously (libellous dear boy!) frame the debate entirely around painting the UDP leadership as godless political straightjackets. But the reverse is the reality. My point is this, PDOIS’s demagoguery (dissimilar to MK Jallow’s rantings?) and holier-than-thou approach to the formation of a coalition has a disingenuous quality to it that is textbook Darwinian (eh? I am scratching my head here professor! Do you mean Machiavellian?). But the sooner PDOIS recognizes that in spite of the make-believe image it tries to project of itself for public consumption, it is UDP that drives the opposition agenda; not PDOIS (sentence incomplete professor: “The sooner” blah blah always ends with “the better”).
In my singular opinion (yes your “singular” highness! – this is nuts, I am pissing myself laughing!), PDOIS owes it highest loyalty to itself, and its storybook in The Gambia’s political landscape has been solely a marketing strategy whose aim is to articulate by word and actions, the brilliance of the ideal; its own ideal, with the hope of attaining political power by whatever means through a highly suspect and superficial political brinkmanship. PDOIS’s trite approach to the formation of a coalition is predicated on its nebulous, if not Ad Nauseum subliminal references to the leadership of the United Democratic Party. But the UDP does not answer to PDOIS’s agenda nor is it obliged to fulfil what the PDOIS leadership seem to characterize as the precondition to a coalition formation. For a coalition to come into fruition, PDOIS must subordinate its authority to UDP without attempting to dictate the agenda (Like the UK’s Lib Dems “subordinated” themselves without “dictating the agenda” – hey professor, what time is it in US? Maybe you are writing this with a heavy hang-over!), for only then will its hope for an eventual elevation to national and international prominence ever come close to becoming reality.
In the same vein, The Point Newspaper’s attempt at sanctifying Yahya Jammeh’s image and that of his AFPRC party, whether done deliberately or inadvertently, underscores the paper’s lost glory and its lack of purpose and direction. In its editorial, the paper admonished politicians to hone in on issues relating to agriculture, education and health, but failed to make any reference to the corruption and gross human rights violations that include murders and extrajudicial killings, which are uppermost in the minds of Gambians (Of course, professor Matthew over in the USA knows, more than The Point staff who are still mourning their Co-Founder and colleague, what is “uppermost in the minds of most Gambians”). The Point Newspaper’s effort at defining the political talking points for the opposition is not only mischievous but appears to be self-serving, and goes beyond mere self-censorship to currying favors with the regime (because The Point highlighted the regimes strong points with the electorate that the opposition must address). Point Newspaper’s visionary, the late Deida Hydara must be turning in his grave that this empire he built and in whose name he was assassinated, is a mere shadow of its former self. As of now, both PDOIS and The Point Newspaper need to come back on message ( “the message” being professor Matthews drunken rants fron the USA!). The unfettered national interest (which only professor Matthew over in USA understands!) must be the dominating political principle that drives the debate, not any parochial precepts that have no loyalty, whatsoever to the larger interest of The Gambia and Gambians. Until PDOIS can come down its Trojan high horse (and bow to the rantings of professor Matthew) and the Point Newspaper can resuscitate its long lost glory (by religiously printing the regurgitations of professor Matthew), both will, in my book, respectively remain phantom heroes and degenerate journalists”.

Dida,

These are the people accusing Yaya Jammeh of intolerance and everything. When jollofnews came I told someone, they look different. He told me, sheep can indeed wear different clothes, a thick jacket or a slim see-through. Now I see what he meant.

I respect your decision and to be candid, I have thought of following suit. But then, that's exactly what they want. I know I am their nightmare (well, after from Yaya Jammeh). I have even been treathened many a times. I can't be intimidated. I am staying to challenge any BS that comes in here. Let them ban me if they can't tolerate me. When I write they will read me and let them do what they wish but my original message will be read. God bless

Jollofnews,

Now, the whole of my comment is deleted. Why not just ban me from your forum, better yet?
"Free speech and democarcy" you cry!

Now I am really beginning to wonder whether Mike's so-called £££s are working here OR YOU must be "Mike" youself. Even when I call Mike Mikey, you edit it, while he can refered to people even as monkeys.

What's going on editor?

Yes indeed Soriba. I do notice that your comments have been deleted. Jollofnews is entitled to edit as they wish ... it is their newspaper. You and I are also entitled to ABANDON Jollofnews in protest, which I do as of now. God Bless.

It is hypothetical to consider if the barrel is half full or half empty.

The professional propaganda-ist...will exert infulence to the positive or the negative of there objective.

I conclude that it is therefore unimportant...to attain the highest diploma in english litriture..only to squander its value, with idiotic writings.

As the Mandinka say....you can drag the donkey to the well...but you sure as hell cannot make it drink.

Your articles..are full of insults which I feel are unnecessary.

For certain...if you reduce your writing to insulting your subject matter...

Then I feel you lose the argument by default.

Mr Jallow is entitled to his opinion.

Your attempts to ridicule him...have failed...miserably.

You must use your "English" education to better advantage..dear fellow.

You have lost the storyline and your objectiveness.

[quote name="Mike Scales" be an editor to the internet writings..of a semi iliterate Englishman...

Mr. Scales, how is it possible for one to be "semi-iliterate"??? One is either "illiterate" (with double L!), semi-literate, or literate. An illiterate is illiterate just as an empty barrel is an empty barrel. One can't have a semi-empty barrel!!

Full marks...again for your humanity old boy

P.S....Please double check the spelling mistakes in your opinion article.?

You must set a much higher example for us...followers of bespoke "English".

I place my generous green mark in YOUR favour.

Pity about all the red ones from YOUR Gambian brothers. But you can always count on the village Soriba...for some support.

Mike i repeat:
...he seems to be carried away by the very few people who are blinded by obsessed hatred - your 1st paragraph. Remember I promised to be soft with our lost brothers. Sad to repeat this but, Mike still have a few "savages to civilize" here...
