Suspect in murder of Gambian woman in UK arraigned

fatou_saineBy Yusupha Cham
The husband
of the Gambian woman, Fatou Saine, who was murdered in the UK last Tuesday, June 1, has been chargedĀ  with murdering his wife, according to the BBC.fatou_saine
Sheikh Saine appeared in court today, after investigators suspected him of stabbing his 33-year-old wife in a Glasgow newsagent, where she worked.
The 43-year-old Gambian man allegedly punched and bit his victim and held his rucksack over her face and mouth, the BBC reported.
The report added that the accused made no plea or declaration at the Glasgow Sheriff Court and was later remanded in custody.
According to court revelations, Mr Saine, from Greenock, Inverclyde, was already on bail from Greenock Sheriff Court when he committed this latest crime.
He was therefore also charged with breaching a bail condition not to approach his wife.

This is so typical for African and muslim men to react like that..."what did she do that made her husband do that." This shows exactly how ignorant they are and always try to blame others for their own faults. I have seen this over and over again by those so called males. Totally respectless to women and laws...sick !

may her soul rest in peace but as they say no fire can go on without fuel, what did fatou do to her husband for it to go like this? and how did her husband help the situation?

I hope this does not happen to your sister or your mother. How dare you ask such an question??"what did fatou do to her husband"? Are you serious? No woman deserves to be killed by their spouse no matter the circumstance, that's what the law is here for. I'm appalled by your question, and am sure a lot of people are.

I fell very sad for the lady that was brought to her death and she did not get to live a perfect live over the age of 50 0r 60 like most other people, it should be a law that before you get married that both of the couple should have a aback round check i personally think that this is just my opinion . And i am very sorry for the lady that had to go through this and i am sorry for her family that had to hear that there daughter mother or sister had died i know that i would be very upset and out pasting in a very uncomfortable manner. i hope she was a very loyal and brave person. AND IN-SAUH-ALLAH, ALLAH WILL HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOULS and forgive us all.

I dont think any of you are talkkng about the fact that this woman's life was rubbed from her by a man she had trust in and bare a child with, and then her life was taken from her by her own husband, for what REEASON?....which now leaves her child without a mother, how sad is that.It just goes to shows that u cant put trust to those around u anymore.....as u never know who would lose it one day and strike on you for no reason at all......Fatou was a distant relative to my siblings, although i didnt know her personally, but i knew her mum, and they describe her as good woman and god fearing young woman.....May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

My only response here is for us all to go back to quran and sunnah which clearly outlines the roles of men and women in a marriage. If we all stick to our end of the deal, I think marriages will last longer and be a safe haven for wonderful children inshallah.
