Shooting Stars depart today for Banjul

The National U-20 team Shooting Stars of Sierra Leone will depart for the Gambia today to participate in the first leg of the Africa
U-20 Championship which will be played tomorrow Saturday and the team is expected back in Freetown on Wednesday July 28.According to information reaching Gamsports.com, the team should have departed the shores of Freetown this past Wednesday but was cancelled because of the flight schedule.

Speaking to Awoko some of the players said that they are just from the provinces where they have gained more experience in playing friendly matches.
And as a team they are well determine and prepared to take Sierra Leone to another level and that they are pleading to the people of this Country to come onboard to give them the support they need to become victorious against their Gambian counterpart.
They said that they are calling on Sierra Leoneans especially Government and business houses to come onboard to give them total support and also pray for them to be victorious.
The delegation comprises of 18 players and 9 officials; the officials are
Nahim Kadi SLFA President and Leader of delegation, Abdul Rahman Swaray SLFA Ag, Sec General, Alphan Coker National Sports Council, Bockarie Allieu Media Officer, James Fofanah Team Manager, Alimamy Turay – Head Coach, Abu Sankoh – Assistant Coach, Prince Tamba Moses Goal Keeper coach and John Ansumana team Doctor.
The players are Abdulai Bah, Mambay Sartie, Baimba Kamara, Mohamed Janneh, Osman Kamara, Ibrahim Kallay, Musa Sesay, Donald Wellington, Sulaiman Kamara, Foday Samura, Mohamed Kamara, Lamin Suma, Ibrahim K Fofanah. Mohamed Bah,Idriss Sesay, Amara Kamara, Abu Koroma and Abu Bakarr Kamara.
