Re – Ghana to examine skeletons of victims of Gambia killings
Tuesday, 04 May 2010 23:32
Editor,For issues of space constraint, I have decided to comment in the form of a letter.
The problem with some people here in this forum is that they think they own absolute right over Gambia, or that they and only they can tell Gambians who to support and who not to support.
This is conspicuous in the pro-Yaya Jammeh piece of comments we see which almost always appear totally intolerant to other people’s views…
It is a farce to assume that murdering people in the name of erecting buildings is any progress... and shame on all those who propagate that derisory line of thought.
Come to think about it. How can a mass grave be found in a country under a supposedly responsible government, and no one is found responsible, yet Gambians are meant to believe that this is the best government we can get? How can either Yaya Jammeh or his supporters explain that to convince his critics?
The killings of the Ghanaians aside; what about Lawyer Ousman Sillah? Dayda Hydara? Chief Ebrima Manneh? Kanyiba Kanyi? Who on earth would have any reason to put these men in their present situation without our supposedly ‘responsible’ government not being able to do anything?
Coming back to the killings of the Ghanaians here in this very village from where I write. If that number of people can be killed and buried in a mass grave, does that give any reason to any Gambian (pro-Jammeh or not) to feel any safe in the first place?
It is a common phenomenon that opponents of regimes that prove intolerant are labeled traitors. It did not start with Gambia. So it shouldn’t move any anti-Jammeh contributor here that some people labeled them as ‘unpatriotic’ because they share a divergent view.
As matter of fact, if to highlight views on the callous acts of these thugs who did what they did on the murdered Africans is equal to calling for a war, as one of the pro-Jammeh contributors stated here, then so be it. If anything, Yahya Jammeh, more than anyone else, has demonstrated that before by presiding over the massacre of innocent school children and he continues to move about with RPGs and all sorts of imposing guns wherever he goes, clearly to intimidate Gambians into forcefully supporting him. If his records are anything to go by, the man is no doubt capable of setting Gambia alight to remain in that seat. That is the true color of a blood thirsty tyrant, like this man, Jammeh, who continues to bring shame on us Gambians by masquerading like a Kankurang... This man, Yahya, is so unsure of himself that he can do as much as it takes him to strengthen his power. Is that any sign of a good leadership?
It doesn’t matter what you say or believe, the situation in Gambia for Gambians especially the next generation is pathetic; truly pathetic.
If anyone doesn't want to hear these, they can as well go see the devil... simple!
Shame on the moron.

Bajaw, Don't waste your words on these imbeciles, who have no proper jobs and no proper function in life, and so spend most of their days on this forum. You are worth 10 of them mate, trust me.
Well, well, well!!! The pot calling the kettle black
Mr Jallow your above article needs fabulous commendations; well said & keep up the momentum. Our efforts have started fruition & WILL pay dividend, surely. For yaya's supporters in debate here, they can multiply themselves in pretence into numerous & multitude names & personalities for each & every one of them & try their utmost to fabricate & twist evidence in support it won't farce or deter anyone with true love to Gambia, our motherland, at heart. God do TEMPORALY bless evil doers like yaya too but truth always take turns victoriously on falsehood in the end. This is certain as nature never changes course. For truth is God Himself. Best Regards, Ablie!
