"Anyone who knew him and was fortunate to work with him can bear witness that he was a very dedicated, humble and supportive representative of the people, a very polite, courteous and a honest gentleman," Mr Bojang said.

He added: “As we say goodbye to Hon.Paul Mendy, we thank him for his selfless service to this country and the National Assembly in particular. We all join the Mendy family to mourn and pray for you; may God the Almighty grant all of us the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. We also pray that God the Almighty grant Hon. Paul Laurence Mendy eternal rest, and may his soul and the souls of all the faithfuls who departed before him rest in peace."

Also paying tribute to late MP, the vice president of the Gambia, Isatou Njie-Saidy, said Mr Mendy gave his best to his family, his constituency and to those who elected him for three conservative terms.

She added: “He gave his best to his party and to humanity. He is a respectable and humble man and his death has left a great vacuum which will be difficult to fill."

My brother Buba Mendy, I want to assure you that Kibaaro News has never and will never block anyone's post.

Your allegations are your own fabrications and smear campaign. So it will never be Kibaaro's brand. Freedom News and all other online news papers are our brothers in the struggle and we are not competing with no one.

You do not sound Manjako to me because all the manjakos I knew are truthful people.

Kibaaro News tried to take credit of Imam Leigh's release from Freedom???

Are you ok? which part of Manjako kundado you come from? Take credit for anyone's release??? God forbid! That is not the way we say things work. No one takes credit but the one that is free my brother. If one should gain any credit, it should be the people that negotiated his release not the campaigners.

If you write something respectful, kibaaro will publish it.x

I can’t agree with you more, I will tell you something , when Baba Ligh was released I criticized KIBAARO NEWS for the way they are not only tried to take credit for BABA LIGH’S release, but also to discredit other online news papers like FREEDOM NEWS. KIBAARO NEWS quickly decide change what they publish, and fabricates lie about my criticism and they block me so I will not further send them any future messages, KIBAARO NEWS always preach maturity, but this action is the maturity at it’s lowest.

Quoting papierre:
The Manjako way of judgment day!

May God Bless Hon. Paul Mendy! Ameen!

Ameen! Manjakos have been my friends and neighbors but I never knew that that's the way they do things. Definitely interesting. Another real African way. I love it indeed.

I hope that our names can also be African instead of the Arabic and European names we adopted.

Thank God he is not a Muslim. His corpse can afford to wait a little longer n get showered with kind words like those of Bojang. He would still need to make one final ritual b4 he parted with the rest of us.
His final ritual takes him back to his roots. Paul being a Manjako, would have to come b4 an elaborate ceremony, to explain why he died. This will be his final dialogue with the living.
Seated in front of him, will be elderly men n woman posing questions. Paul's responses will not be as vocal as the questions posed to him. But his responses will come in the form of signs that will be visible to all. As a result, vows will be made n individuals responsible will be cursed. Then Paul is cleared to depart! Remarkable! The Manjako way of judgment day!

May God Bless Hon. Paul Mendy! Ameen!
