(JollofNews) – JollofNews wishes to acknowledge the kind gesture of Mr Michael Scales in the form two hundred Pounds donation towards the upkeep of this site.

Mr. Scales’ donation will certainly contribute in on-going debates surrounding issues of freedom of expression and democracy in The Gambia.

Although a Briton, Scales’ interest and love for The Gambia are well noted as evident in his numerous postings on very important issues that some Gambians would rather shy away from.

We therefore thank him for the kind gesture and hope that he continues his effort these regards.

As a note of concern.

I have spent much of this weekend dealing with a scam that involved false information surrounding a prominent member of the APRC.

Fortunatley, my lines of communication with Gambia, allowed the scam to be exposed and resisted...most robustly.

The extent of the scam..involved scores of innocent Gambian's, connected to this APRC official and involved many thousands of pounds and dollars.

Malicious intent with opportunism accompanied with charecter assasination is indemic in my long association with the Gambia.

I remain steadfast...by personal experience.

Those who try to harm others only harm themselves and ultimatley your country.

I cannot be intimididated.

Enjoy the debate and defend your beliefs.

I can assure you that in my deliberations I considered the great value that Jollof News brings to the online debate...by encouraging the opinions and comments of my friends..in the APRC.

The English love a great debate. But you cannot have one...if your only talking to yourself.

I wish more Gambian's would donate to Jollof...nomatter how small.
