President Jammeh receives UN evacuees
Saturday, 11 December 2010 11:08
Following the on-going political stalemate in Cote d'Ivoire, with the attendant fear of trouble, the UN evacuated its staff members to the Gambia.
At the audience with the Gambian leader, the UN envoy expressed gratitude to the Jammeh administration for the warm reception.
'We have successfully settled the evacuees in hotels and the Gambian government is giving much support in terms of security and to make sure that their stay is comfortable,' Nester said.
