Photos of Laurent Gbagbo’s arrest

Gbagbo_arrested_1Laurent Gbagbo’s departure, albeit ignominiously, may have caused a sigh of relief in all peace loving people around the world, as it marks the beginning of much needed peace in Ivory Coast, but the nature of his departure, as shown in these photos (courtesy of Seneweb) is as touching as it is revealing.
It shows how powerless a man can be when they do not have the usual state machinery behind them.
The tough talking and cantankerous Simon Gbagbo is after all not that tough.
What a world we are in!

Quoting Joseph, UK:
There was a lot that happened that has not been said by the Western media any way. For that is certain. It is also certain that France's involvement should be evaluated critically. While I may not agree with all that you said, a critical mind will know that France's involvement was in their interest. After all African leaders should have instead taken the lead. But their actions initiated by Wade was due to pressure from France. It should be known that just as Wade, Gbagbo is also a citizen of France - conflict of interest here which must not be sidelined.

Sorry, I meant to say Ouatara instead of Gbagbo.

Gbagbo should be made to face the justice immediately for the innocent lost of lives he has caused. This is always the disgraceful end to any dictator including Yahya Jammeh. How can you greedily hold on to power while seeing your fellow country men dying on the streets. Any time I see his fucking face, I got angrier and angrier...African heads of states always keep failing their citizens...watch out Yahya Jammeh for your faith may end in this way or even worse than this...

African are yet to learn from the experience of colonialism! You don't know what happening in Ivory Coast but don't worry it will soon happen to you as well. Gbagbo Laurent is the belove Ivorian President. You learn that it's a coup that happened in the Ivory Coast with the help and support of some african presidents in the like of Goodluck Jonathan , Wade from Senegal or Compaore from Burkina Fasso.
