Gambian and San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Omar Jasseh became the youngest player to play in an MLS game
in Earthquakes franchise history on Saturday, April 24 against Chivas USA as a substitute in the 62nd minute.The Gambian youngster was 17 years, five months and 23 days old when he came onto the pitch. He wasted little time in getting in on the action earning his first yellow card of his career after just four minutes later.
Arturo Alvarez was previously the youngest player to play for the Earthquakes when he debuted at 17 years, nine months and 19 days old on April 19, 2003 against Kansas City, when he came on as a substitute in the 85th minute.
