Gambia’s Jammeh, Kufuor And Nana Addo Sued Over Death Of Ghanaians
Tuesday, 05 February 2013 00:03
(GhanaWeb) – An International Human Rights Activist, Anthony Rau has filed a suit at the International Court
of Justice against former President John Agyekum Kufuor, NPP flagbearer Nana Akuffo-Addo and Gambian President Yahya Jammeh.Mr. Rau said former President Kufuor and Nana Akuffo-Addo were complicit in the murder of over 33 Ghanaians in Gambia in 2005.
Addressing a news conference in Accra on Monday, Mr. Rau said the erstwhile New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration led by President Kufuor and Nana Akufo- Addo as Foreign Affairs Minister did little to uncover the truth behind the murder of the Ghanaians.
President Kufuor and Akuffo-AddoAccording to the Human Rights Activist, the courts in Ghana are investigating the matter now. “The courts have also started their investigation telling me that they have also heard the same thing so now they are investigating Jammeh, Kufuor and Nana Addo. So please I am here today [Monday] to let Ghanaians know that if you are real and a good human rights activist you don’t have to be afraid to bring a sitting president to court.”
He further stated that he has dragged the three to court because they failed to fight the cause of the Ghanaians who were troubled in Gambia. “It is possible that anyone who is a president can be dragged to court.”

According to Ghana's Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Kwesi Osei Agyei, a lot of such people fall victim to these unscrupulous men, who try to smuggle the migrants across the high seas on boats, to Italy for greener pastures. The bodies of the eight men who could not be identified were found scattered around ?Ghana-Town' located in the North of Banjul and were believed to be between the ages of 30 and 40. A Ghanaian resident in ?Ghana-Town', Mr. Kwesi Obed told PeaceFM on phone"

I am always keen to lean..Could you tell me which international court settled this case...? As far as I know,"rogue soldiers" were blamed for the unprovoked and lawless murder of unarmed civilians..
