Man arrested over Gambian woman stabbing

fatou_saineBy Yusupha Cham
Latest development in the apparent murder of a Gambian lady in the UK indicates that a man has been arrested on Monday in connection with incident which occurred in a city newsagent.
Fatou Saine, 33, was hugged by her attacker seconds before he repeatedly stabbed her with an eight-inch knife last week in McColls in Glasgow's St Enoch Square.fatou_saine
The 33-year-old mum had agreed to talk to a man, thought to be her estranged husband, at the back of the McColl's newsagent's as Police were called to the store at around 11.55am, where they found the dead worker.
The shop was cordoned off while a forensic team examined the scene.
Another member of staff and some customers were in the shop at the time of the disturbance but they were not injured and did not need hospital treatment.
Ms Saine lived in the Inverclyde area.
Strathclyde Police say the 43-year-old man now been detained in connection with the death is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, and that a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Solution to this & likes of it are patience, endurance, perseverance & self-restraints. All should know nothing is permanent in world including marriage. When a partner naturally dies, marriage ends so as in times of missed advantages/bad times. When such happens NOBODY should take it upon him/herself to harm the other for ANY reason whatsoever. Like I said before, if you are offended by your partner you have strived for & felt betrayed, mourn the grief ONLY, get over it & move on like life must continue. Murdering a human being for whatsoever reason is NOT acceptable anywhere on earth & in the hereafter. The price to pay for it is enormous... We pray God give us all the strength to carry on in such situations & guide us into right paths.

Lets call a spade a spade, the husband is a cold blooded murder, period, stop all these niceties, we must address those who try to give resons and justify such an act of barbarity. The facts are known witnesses have spoken he was callous and calculating coward who murdered his wife the mother of his child, may her soul rest in peace, may the husband rust in HELL AMEN

Hey people, i was looking at an exchange of ideas about a problem that has been here for so long. Yes, it's true that this Fatou Saine's case brought it here, but we haven't heard that the former husband is responsible, have we, so we must be careful not to sound like he was responsible. The report said a man, it did not say the husband; after all investigation is still on going... Mariama, no need to over react. Trust me you need not need to be a family member of Fatou to feel for her... For me, th efact that she was at her work place when this happened suggests a very serious and commendable persona, so I feel for her very much... But suffices to say that all we can do now is to pray for Allah to grant her heaven nd take care of her young child. Amen!

Quoting Mr Brown:For they have no place whatsoever in any society let alone Gambian end quote:
But I want to remind my brothers here that, let us not see one side of the story and keep on blaming the man, let us think of if it happens to any of us here, we all knows that, if you are over tempered only God can bless you to having the heart of thinking but if you are over come by SHEYTAAN then we should try our best and pray for let it not happen again ! And for what Mr Brown said earlier here above, let me ask you gentleman, Is it in any of The Gambian society too for a woman to be arrogant on her husband ? And we most of the time seeing this when they travel with them. I don't know this man but what he faced in those days before this incident was notan easy situation and that was where thedevil or Shaytaan took the opportunity to decide for him instead of taking or having more endurrance !

Seriously, no one should try to justify the killing of a human being. Its just wrong. Whatever might have happened between them two should not warrant him to take her life and he will regret that for the rest of his life. Nowhere in african culture does it tell you to kill your wife no matter what land you are in! So what if she decides not to be with him anymore, big deal! he should get over it and be thankful that he doesn't have to spend his life with someone who obviously doesn't want him. May God protect us all from committing such heinous acts for they have no place whatsoever in any society let alone Gambian.

Brother Jatto, Can you just let me your ears andread my rejoinder again, Iam not trying to making things look like and instigational way please, we are just exchanging ideas of what not like the way I mentioned, but not at a level of taking someone's soul or life but it could have being better for our sisters too to act in accordance with the rule of African respect for their husband even though western minded people will never allow with me on this point !

Lalo,

Violence, especially of this magnitude is not the answer. Yes, you may have brought this person to where ever...... but you did not give them life and you must not take it.

Brother Kafuta, I throw my Hat on you here for thegood gesture you've given here, Yes we the men have to be blame must of the time, but we have to advise our young ladies too to keep remembering how this man once suffered to do all what he can only to bring you from Jollof for you to live with him in the "WAZUNGU LAND" (Europe) being like that, whatever difficulty you two may encounter in your marital life, you have to remain African for how we were brought up back there in Africa, that is to give your maximum respect to the man, but if any giving time you feel that, you cannot match with this man who did all his best to bring you here or there, please try to solving the matter in a brotherly and sisterly way of African.
