Jawara, OBJ, Jordan watch as Emirates emerges best int’l airline in Nigeria

The prestigious award was voted for by stakeholders in the aviation industry, who nominated Emirates as their preferred and best performing airline in Nigeria .
Paulos Legesse, Country Manager for Emirates in Nigeria, expressed satisfaction over the award, saying it was the tonic needed by the airline to continue to give quality service to the travelling public in Nigeria.
He said: “We are delighted to receive this award and are honored to have been recognized in this way by our industry peers.
“We are very proud of the products and services we offer, from the outstanding in-flight services delivered by an international crew drawn from over 140 nationalities to our award winning in-flight entertainment system and the modern aircraft fleet that serves our rapidly expanding network.
“At Emirates, our goal is to continuously improve the services we offer to our customers and we will continue to strive to reach ever higher standards moving forwards.”
Organized by the Africa Travel Quarterly magazine, the awards ceremony was also attended by Obioma Liyel_Imoke, wife of the governor of Cross River State and other members of the diplomatic corps.

The airline’s latest award follows shortly after Emirates SkyCargo was voted Cargo Airline of the Year, the highest accolade at the prestigious Cargo Airline of the Year Awards.Other awards won by Emirates in the past include best In-flight Entertainment from Skytrax Airline Excellence Awards 2009; best website in airline category from Travel d’Or 2009 Awards in France.
It had also emerged the best airline website from Internet Advertising Awards 2009; best air cargo Carrier Middle East (for 14th consecutive year) from Cargo News Asia, Hong Kong, and best Middle East/African Airline’ award from Business Traveler Asia Pacific amongst others.
Since its launch in 1985, Emirates has received more than 400 international awards in recognition of its efforts to provide quality customer service.

It was fascinating to stand on the tarmac of Dubai airport and see a long line of brand new boing 737's as far as the eye could see. The Airport was high class and the all round service "with a smile" was exceptional.
