‘It’s Time for African Youths to open their Eyes’

2Face IdabiaJollofNews - Nigerian R&B and Hip Hop singer 2Face Idabia called on African youths to make a paradigm shift in opening their mind towards duty and responsibility.
''It is time for African youths to open their eyes,'' he said, while urging the continent’s youth to assume their full responsibility in the strive towards development.

The Nigerian musical sensation made this resounding call during a press conference that followed his musical performance at Obelisk Monument as part of the third edition of the World Festival of Black Arts and Cultures, which recently concluded in Senegal.
Taking into consideration the festival, which was centered on the theme of African Renaissance, 2Face denounced the fact that valuable and countless time and lives continue to be wasted in African for political struggles. To reverse this trend, he
said: ''They should stand up and fight for their rights in order to reverse this!''''Africa,” he went on, “is rich in vast natural and mineral resources and sadly continues to be the world's laughing stock.''
The music superstar then went on to urge the next generation of Africans to not allow continuation of the current happenings on the continent.
