Guinea Bissau drops treason charge against Bubo Na Tchuto

Guinea Bissau has dropped charges against controversial former navy chief, Rear Admiral Jose Americo Bubo Na Tchuto, a notorious drug baron who fled to Gambia after been accused of attempted coup plot in 2008.
A military court in Bissau announced on Tuesday that it was dropping treason charges against Bubo Na Tchuto, effectively confirming reports of his increasing influence within the Bissau Guinean military.Bubu_Na_Tchuto
"The military tribunal has dropped the case against Rear Admiral Americo Bubo Na Tchuto," Colonel Arsenio Balde told reporters on Tuesday.
Bubo Na Tchuto is a close ally to the present military chief of Guinea Bissau, General Antonio Njai, who himself came to “power” after ousting his predecessor, former chief of staff Admiral José Zamora Induta. Mr Induta has since be detained on the command of the duo who said they intend to put him through trial for unexplained crimes.
Many questions are being asked about the authority of the current civilian regime headed by Malan Becai Sahna, which barely has any say in the most important decisions on matters of national interest.
According to a report by Reuters, General Antonio Njai “is widely believed to have the final say in all government decisions, sidelining President Malam Bacai Sanha.”
This some how explains the idea of dropping charges against the former navy chief; a development which comes two months after soldiers broke Na Tchuto out of the UN compound in Bissau, where he had sought sanctuary after leaving Gambia where he was given asylum by President Yahya Jammeh. During that incident the mutinous soldiers led by General Njai forcefully took control of the military and briefly detained the country’s Prime Minister, Carlos Gomes Junior.
It is had to see how these two can work when it was Gomez Junior who had been seeking to have Na Tchuto prosecuted for his role in the failed 2008 coup attempt.
The United States in April named Bubu Na Tchuto alongside a former Air Force chief of staff, Ibraima Papa Camara, as key players in the country’s well reported international drug tracking problem.

All you loosers out there knows that, and would not dare try. All you got left is vicious peddling of lies, fabrications and crying foul. This has not worked in the past and will never work. Put your houses together and try some other dignified ways for your own sake and the sake of the Gambian people you are pretending to represent."

Mr whosoever

God knows all & shall judge in the oppressed favour. For you to know, my parents were versed in the Quran, not english, so have never squandered any communal benefits as were humble farmers, the 'disrespected & down trodden' whose g/nuts were purchased on credit by APRC which mostly takes long for majority to get paid proceeds of crops sold. My only uncle versed in western education never worked for Gambia government & lives abroad for most of his life. May be you/close one of yours may be currently doing same with yaya jammeh now as may be the only way of survival for some, that’s why you are always enraged by my postings/comments as have been observed. Whoever you are, God knows & see all & has said through people of vision & indicated in moral judgments that, it (shall) always end in the deprived masses favour.

May be you in person never suffered direct or indirect in a relative/neighbour or, are yet bent on selfish denial when facts are here for all to see. Issues currently unfolding relay 'tell tales' which no amount of twisting can deceived on. Nobody wishes for any havoc for Gambia as our only home, for this is why we are here to point out deficiencies in state matters & affairs by commenting along. But like all before & into infinity, yaya & likes will get it 'dawn on them' at some point if he don't refrain from undignified human harassments & cruelty. Why can yaya, cohorts & supporters acknowledge the barbarisms & clandestine associations can't been dissociated from unfold of recent & current issues/events. WHATS THERE TO DEFEND?[/b
