Friday, 11 February 2011 03:45
Gambia’s Under 20 championship group mate and World champions Ghana are into their third week of camping, ahead of the Libya show down next month.
According to Gaol.com, a 26-member squad of the Ghana Black Satellites are in camp horning up their skill for the tournament which kicks off on March 18th in Libya.
Team Coach Orlando Wellington is taking the completely locally-based squad of players through daily drills in the capital Accra from Friday January 16th.
Five of the called up players are from the Division One and Two Leagues with the rest coming from the Glo Premier League teams.
Ghana look forward to retaining the title they won in 2009. The Black Satellites, also defending World champions will play rivals, Nigeria in the opening group game before taking on Cameroon and Gambia in Group B following the draw for the eight-team Championship.
