Gambian exiles, why we can’t continue to live in the Gambia

Feelings and mere figments of the imagination are no substitute for facts and truth
There are two sides to everything. You can never see both sides until you stop accusing and humbly listen to the other person instead. Instead of jumping to conclusions, we should give the person the benefit of the doubt and reserve our judgment until all the facts can be known.Sana_BS
All these bilateral-shuttles across the common border reminded me of a song by a famous musician from G/Conakry called Lama Sidibe:  in which he sang; ``Gan´nyo wontataa Giddo…`` simply `` An enemy can never become a friend…`` I am very worried over these ``shaky relations between Senegal and The Gambia``.  Of some unscrupulous politicians I’d say that if we could see them as they really are, ``They would be sitting there at dinner party (State Banquets) with daggers in their teeth. `` To all outward appearances they are upstanding citizens, yet they are hypocrites to the core. As difficult as it may be, it is not impossible- SeneGambian religious leaders and well-meaning citizens should quickly come together and bring about rapprochement between The Gambia and Senegal. But I always take consolation in the Holy-Qur´an verse:  ``Perhaps Allah will make friendships between you and those whom you now hold as enemies. And Allah has power (over all things), and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. `` (Surah 60: 7)
On the surface, President Me. Abdoulaye WADE (Senegal) and Yahya JAMMEH had reconciled. Underneath the niceties, however, mistrust and (political) intrigues continued, at least on Yahya JAMMEH’s part. We have on December 15th 2010 heard the ``unfortunate mother of all foolish accusations`` - a message of hatred read on GRTS (The Gambia Radio and Television Services): ``GAMBIA GOVERNMENT'S POSITION ON SENEGAL`` in a 10-page statement read on it's behalf by Dr. Njogu L. Bah, Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, The Jammeh Government.
This message is a tragedy! And is a sword unsheathed, a declaration of war! It is very evident that Yahya JAMMEH has no regards for the Gambia(ns) and or either the Senegalese government or her people so as to bring about peace and stability in the sub region.
How much better to be a beacon of truth rather than an instigator of condemnation.
People cause much mischief (sometimes unwittingly) (hypocrites: who are untrue to themselves) who think that they have a mission of peace, when they have not even a true perception of right or wrong. By their blind arrogance and hypocrisy they depressed the good (Truth) and encourage the evil (Falsehood). WHEN YOU LASH OUT AT OTHERS, YOU’RE SURE TO HURT YOURSELF.
Diplomatic and Political hypocrisy
Embracing of two Presidents:
Left – Gambia, Yahya JAMMEH
Right – Senegal, Abdoulye WADE
Senegal—our success is highly contingent upon her help but Senegal will never helpFEW THINGS struck my eyes and mind when Dr. Njogu´s message read: (1) ``The Republic of The Gambia is a sovereign State with the same rights that all independent States have to arm themselves according to their needs…  `` That statement is 1000% correct! The Republic of The Gambia is a Sovereign State!   Nevertheless, to all common sense and to all human beings with their correct frames of mind and to all military-minded people, looking at ``the 13 containers´ arms shipment from Iran intercepted in APAPA Port of Lagos, Nigeria``,  that statement is 1000% wrong!  Why??? How???  The statement continues; ``The Gambia cannot and will not be dictated by any state not to Arm or what type of Arms we should purchase irrespective of what is going on in a neighbouring country especially Cassamance….`` Reminder again, The Republic of The Gambia is a Sovereign State!
My question is: If The Republic of The Gambia is a Sovereign State like any other, why would Senegal be furious over this ``Arms from Iran….``? Again, do we clearly, beyond any reasonable doubts know what is stated in the ``Bill of Lading``? Is it true as to what the statement further said; ``…The real truth and ALLAH is our witness is that those Arms were addressed to Nigeria and that is why the containers were discharged in the APAPA Port of Lagos. …`` They said, the real truth, but then, could it be the Unreal truth? Is it true that from the Bill of Lading, these 13 containers of arms were addressed to one ``Kanilai Farms, The Republic of The Gambia. ``? Why would the 13 containers of arms be sent to Lagos, Nigeria if the address is/was The Gambia? Could it be that there is also in Nigeria another ``Kanilai Farms`` different from the one in the Gambia? Possible! An agent’s office?  Is Kanilai Farms, so to say, a Sovereign State? Who is the owner of the ``Kanilai Farms``? Why would Senegal be furious over this ``Arms from Iran….``? No matter what the Dr. Njogu and Dr. Yahya Jammeh try to doctor up in their defence, the answer is very simple to get to: (1) Jammeh owns the Kanilai Farms, and this company is not and can never be a department of the Ministry of Defense of the Gambia. (2) The Gambia has a Defense Ministry. If the duo-Drs are saying the arms were meant for the Gambia, why not make the procurement through the Ministry of Defense? Who would go against that! Not even the self-made World-Police, USA! But why wisely conceal and disguise the arms as ``Building materials…`` but stupidly addressed them to ``Kanilai Farms, owned by Jammeh himself? There lies the suspicion, but (or as well as) the Unreal Truth that the duo-Drs are trying still to hide. It is very clear that such concealment of 13 containers of arms not bought by the Gambia and meant for the Gambia (Armed Forces) are obviously meant for onward dispatch to another location: Casamance-Senegal! And this is where the Senegalese Government´s reaction/concern is called for to report the matter to the world body of the UN-Security Council. But why would the UN waste funds to investigate, when every detail is on the plain paper: the Origin Address of the arms (Iran) and the Destination Address, Kanilai Farms (The Gambia)?
Jammeh-when you fail, what is your response-to cover up your failure, or to publicize your confession? There’s no better time than right now to  “apologize”  or  “offer  forgiveness,”  and to quickly  restore  a  (our) priceless relationship with Gambians, Senegalese and humanity.  JAMMEH!  What keeps you from taking care of [your] anger immediately? HE  WHO  CONQUERS  HIS  ANGER CONQUERS  A  STRONG  ENEMY.  You are an enemy to yourself. You don´t trust your own shadow, not even your own mother. You can sacrifice your own mother for just the opportunity to stay in power. That´s the present level of your insecurity.
And (2) ``We have never assisted the MFDC in any way but that all Gambian dissidents from Kukoi Samba Sanyang to former Col. Ndure Cham are being given safe sanctuary by President Wade and his Government is an open secret. In fact, Kukoi Samba Sanyang is traveling with a Senegalese Passport a Photograph of which is in our possession together with a letter he wrote to President Wade!`` My question: Is it wrong for Kukoi Samba Sanyang to have a Senegalese Passport and be travelling by it? If you say, Yes, it is wrong, I’ll accept, because he is not a Senegalese citizen. Please, help me with the records because I was in jail at the material time. Some times back, Kukoi was brought in the Gambia to meet with Jammeh. How did Kukoi made this trip? By land, air or sea? And by what Travel Documents? Let us assume he travelled by a Senegalese Passport. Then, why didn´t the Jammeh government made a noise over it then? But why today, after so many years! What Nationality is Kukoi Samba Sanyang? Of course, Gambian (Wassadu village-Foni)! If Kukoi had applied for a Gambian Passport and was denied his Citizenship/Birth right as a human being, and he got that humanity from another place, why would his deniers be angry about that? If Kukoi truly has a Senegalese Passport, he must not hide it. He should be open about it. How many Senegalese citizens (more from the Cassamance side) did Jammeh himself give Gambian Diplomatic and Ordinary passports, Birth Certificates, ID Cards and even International Driving Licenses? Uncountable! How many Senegalese citizens (more from the Cassamance side) isJammeh himself housing in Gambia Government Houses or Hotels (bills paid by the Gambian State)? Uncountable! How many Senegalese citizens (more from the Cassamance side) are serving with the Gambia Armed Forces, the Police and the Prisons? Uncountable! How many Senegalese citizens (more from the Cassamance side) have been militarily trained and are still being trained by the Jammeh Government?  Uncountable!  After they passed-out from training, they are posted at Kanilai where they will disappear in thin air as they are released across the border into Cassamance to rejoin their ranks in the MFDC. How many Senegalese citizens (more from the Cassamance side) are NIA operatives? Uncountable!
The stolen ``ROOTS HOME-COMING FESTIVAL`` from JUFFUREH to now take place in Kanilai (Kanilai International Roots Festival) is nothing but a venue for Jammeh´s annual administrative meeting with the MFDC separatists. Jammeh developed Kanilai not only as his home-village but to be able to be in charge from this border village, where he conducts all clandestine activities with the MFDC, ranging from Arms Smuggling, Money Laundering, Racketeering to Drugs Trafficking.

Accountability is rare in African politics for sure, and in a way that may be the impetus of those who are fortunate to be at arms length of the law, have the luxury to be noble spokesman of the innocent, now that is. Sanna, no matter how far away you are from Gambian justice, you will never be far away from our memories. When you were fortunate, "fortunate that is", to make a difference in the lives of your fellow countrymen, you instead opted for brutality and the complete disregard for life, property and the rule of law. There are lots of educated, smart, decent and humane Gambians both at home and abroad who will be more than privileged and honored to serve in that capacity and make the most of it. You can fool idiot or yourself about the reality of your past, not us, so stop spewing "Jibbrish" because we are not going to listen to you. This by the way will not save you from yourself, only repentant and forgiveness will.

Well sana, you are right on casamance and hope you can tell us more about other secrets like the planning of the coup and the role jammeh plays.

You seem to be a smart guy, but unfortunately on the wrong side as a energised lad and as a result many bad things happened around you.

To reconcile with those deeds, you have to tell people who want Gambia to be a democratic and free society for all its diverse people, what role you played in the planning and excution of the coup. Tell us about Jammeh's if it makes you uncomfortable to start with your role.

It will help a lot to our objective for Gambia which is helpful to both you and your love ones. It will enlighten people in the forefront in bringing sense to Jammeh's barbaric rule of Gambia.

Dude, give it a rest already! Your two-faced diatribes are not gonna fly here. Seriously! Your first order of business should be to confess and atone for your crimes against the Gambian people and the Gambian State and hope for the better angels in us to overcome our vengeful human desires. Anything short of that will constitute a mockery of the Gambian people, which you'll be wise to desist from as you've tormented them enough for a lifetime. Consider heeding this advise and acting on it before coming back to pontificate on a subject matter you have no moral or intellectual standing to tackle.
