Sunday, 07 March 2010 21:13
Ajax Cape Town has already begun to throw their net wide across Africa in a bid to reinforce their squad for next season.
Due to persistent injuries to left back Brent Evans this season, the Urban Warriors have turned to Gambia where they have invited the Scorpions left-back, Saikou Jawara for trials.

The Gambian national team defender arrived at Ikamva on the heels of Nigerian striker Hillary Chukwe was also given try out by the club.
Ajax CEO George Comitis has confirmed presence of the Jawara who was vice captain of Gambian giants Real De Banjul, in their camp but adds that they have still to make a decision on whether to sign him.
"Jawara comes with a high reputation of having played for the Gambian national Under-20 team and has few caps for the senior national team. Source: Gamsports.com
