Gambian CEO hails Obama’s Entrepreneurship Summit
Sunday, 30 May 2010 23:12
Papa Y Njie, the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Gambia-based IT company, Unique Solutions, has hailed
US President Barack Obama for bringing together the world’s leading entrepreneurs to a recent summit in US with delegates agreeing that "the spirit of entrepreneurship can make a difference", PANA reported Saturday.
The young Gambian entrepreneur made the remarks during an exclusive interview in Dakar as he passed by on his way home from attending the summit.
Mr. Njie was invited by President Obama to represent the Gambia as the sole delegate from the tiny West African state.
According to the Gambian businessman, he will try to implement recommendations emanating from the summit.
These, he says will take the form of promoting business skills and other job creation activities among the Gambian youth.
Other delegates to the summit came from nine African countries and across the globe with heavy presence of Moslem participants.
This, Njie added, was in line with Obama Administration’s belief that "there is a positive side from the Moslem world", despite their many negative press.
The summit was initiated after Obama’s trip last June to Cairo, Egypt, where he made a speech promising to gather entrepreneurs "to identify how they can deepen ties between business leaders, foundations and social entrepreneurs in America and Muslim communities around the world.

I regret for the serious mistake I made in my first comments by mistakenly exchanging you with Gambia Echo.Sir I have made a deadly mistake and I definately appologise to you.I have posted my comment on the wrong site and I hope you and all your love ones including myself who have been hurt my comments will kindly accept my sincere appology. SORRY.
I would like to thank Alagie Sanyang and Bob for their comments that have signaled me to get back to my normal sense of ORIGINAL righteousness.
Bob and Alagie have also over acted that instead of being clever and smart enough to refere me to read the publication again. You know what, you people are real idiots and stupid also you lack respect by insulting the President instead of insulting me the commentor. You 2 out there, are so fucking stupid and easy to be smoke out like rats by seeing or hearing any thing relating to Jammeh.I know your real motive not only on Mr.Njie.Hey!
Don't waste your energy on this clown,he has already been categorised as "beyond salvage" by most people on this forum.
Only people with pea-sized brains would like to be ruled by a tyrant like Jammeh for the rest of their blighted life.
Shame on both you, Jammeh 4 life and the Yahya Jammeh you so fanatically support, that idiot and source of shame to Gambia and the rest of the world...
For your information, Papa Yusupha Njie is more of a patriot than both you and Yaya Jammeh; he deserves what he has as it is his sweat, unlike yahya jammeh who stole and continue to preside over the plundering of our resources. You are a big fool to think that everyone in Gambia should be like Isatou Njie-Saidy and Edu Gomez and their like. You are indeed idiot...
