Gambia to Host Sub-regional Workshop on Anti-money Laundering

(PANA) - The Gambia will next month play host to a sub-regional workshop on "Anti-Money Laundering and
Combating Financing of Terrorism".Accoding to official sources, the training exercise, which would run from 4-6 October, would be organised by the Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), and is targeting non-bank regulators and supervisors.
Participants are expected to come from senior positions of various financial institutions in West Africa.
At the end of the exercise, they are expected to get improved knowledge and understanding on ways of tackling money laundering and terrorist financing in the region.
