Gambia 3 Namibia 1
Saturday, 04 September 2010 20:52
The Gambia beat Namibia 3-1 to take a firm grip of their CAN2012 qualifying group. In a front of a packed Independence stadium,
the Scorpions took the game to the visitors on the onset, allowing them few space to settle. Major Soccer League star Sainey Nyassi, Bronby's Ousman Jallow and Momodou Ceesay of Zilina accounted for the three goals. With Mauritania out of the way, meaning Burkina Faso staying idle on match day One of the competition, the result put Gambia on the driver's seat for the group's eventual winning spot. The Scorpions travel to Bukina Faso next month to taste their first away fixture in the competition.Source: Gamsports.com
