Fuel prices go down in Senegal

Photo_pompe_essenceThe Ministry of Energy in Senegal has announced the coming into effect of a new price structure characterized by reduction of prices of all petroleum products in the country.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, the past four weeks had witnessed a decline in international prices of all petroleum products, with the price of crude oil going down from 84 to 73 US dollars and that of refined oil going down from 23 to 22 US dollars.Photo_pompe_essence
The statement said the government therefore felt it fitting to reflect the price reduction at the international level on the domestic prices of refined oil.
Thus, since last Saturday, the price of diesel has gone down from 641 to 635 FCFA / liter, a decrease of six CFA / liter.
The same trend of reduction of prices is observed in butane gas, a very popular commodity here in Senegal. Many households depend on it for cooking.
While the price of the 6 kg bottle has reduced by 10 F, from 3110 to 3 100 FCFA, the 2.7 kg bottle has seen a 5 F reduction, from 1395 to 1 390 CFA francs.
The Energy ministry however said that the decrease in price of butane gas was made possible by the decision by the government to suspend customs duties and Vat on the product. It added that on each bottle of the 6 and 2.7 kg bought by Senegalese consumers, the state shall be paying 655 and 295 CFA francs respectively.

The plans are being worked on the ground with the comments & observations we make here with you & with others at others places. If you observe, the wanton killing & disappearances of people have considerably reduced now if not stopped. This is NOT by accident but due to our condemnations. However, there's room/need for improvements on freedom of expression & association, justice for those wronged & the ‘drug-peddling-cancer’ indulged in by none other than those in charge of affairs of State which's eating at hearth of our integrity as community. Just like yaya, there are some selfish individuals in opposition who were bent on pushing for self centered issues but I hope & believe the opposition would do away with self & unite to contest on single ticket for shake of ALL Gambians. Surely yaya can't be best for Gambia after all that happened under him.

Quote sera ".....I will again challenge Bajaw to tell us what political party he belongs..."

Sera, you can as well guess for yourself the party I belong. May be for yaya jammeh & some of you, issues of state & community doesn't exist. It's rather the issue of the self/person at all cost; where few things has to be done in pretence & disguise to mislead the majority on one's intensions/motives; thus some of the so-called infrastructural constructions. For your information, I do not belong to a particular party but supports all opposition efforts especially in a collation, to unseat yaya jammeh for what he turn out to reward Gambian people for our naivety in welcoming him with open arms in our yearn for a change for better. However, you just be honest to yourself & put yourself in victims of murder & order injustices shoes under yaya which never happened in Gambia before. I, with all sane Gambians know Gambia remains while yaya must call it someday; soon.

Off cause Jim.

I didn't think you had anything to offer either. I just thought to take you up on your offer to "enlighten".

Are you asking for enlightenment?
