Ceesay handed Chelsea, Marseille clash
Thursday, 26 August 2010 22:05
After putting his Zilina side into their first champions league group stage, Gambian Momodou Cessay must now brace himself for a trip to Europe's
great football grounds including Chelsea's Stamford Bridge in London. Other places include Marseille and Moscow.Already a hero in Slovakia, Ceesay was the name on Zilina fans' lips as they watched the European Champion league draw in Monaco Thursday
night, which put them against Chelsea, Spartak Moscow and Olympic Marseille in Group F.MSK Zilina eased to a 1-0 home victory over Sparta Prague Wednesday to add to the 0-2 advantage they bought home with them from the Czech capital 8 days earlier. Zilina therefore progressed to the Champions League group stage with a 3-0 aggregate victory and in doing so become only the 3rd Slovak club to ever qualify for the Champions League. Cessay's dramatic goal, scored with an athletic overhead kick will surely reinforce on the 21-year old Gambian striker’s credentials even further in the eyes of prospective buyers. Now Zilina are set to perform on a world stage, the possibilities for Ceesay and other members of the squad are huge.

Do u have any info about Tamsir Manneh, the hero of zone II in Freetown. He mesmerized Ghanians with his goal scoring prowess. Thank u all!!!
Ceesay is my hero. I still watch his tape in their sensational win over Ghana to be crowned U17 African champions. Ceesay kind of disappeared from the radar as he is not talked about like others.
He is my hero. He is one of my most sensational players. The other who also disappeared from the radar is Tamsir Manneh. He was the hero of Zone II football in Freetown in the 90s. Of cause i like Cho Jallow n Ous Jallow. But the adrenalin that runs through me when watching Tam n Ceesay is just unrivaled.
