Burning of the Qur’an: a case of insanity

By Kemo ChamA classic case of insanity, not defiance! I agree with a comment on facebook. For God’s sake what benefit is there to burn the Holy Qur’an? We are talking about a book containing the words of God worshiped by a significant portion of the world’s population.
This is not an appeal to Pastor Jones – the man behind this perilous act - it is an appeal to America to halt this delirious madness by an insignificant congregation of lunatics who call themselves Christians. Even Pastor Jones himself is aware of the implication of his satanic mission. But being the clearly insane person he is, Jones with his congregation of 50 is very much in need of the attention of Americans.
His move, while obviously not representing the views of the wider Christian population, is poised to heighten an already strenuous relationship between the world’s two major religions.
Yes, people who strap explosive belts around their waist and blow up innocent people – regardless of their beliefs - have done so hiding behind a gross misinterpretation of the Holy Qur’an. But would that justify the ill-informed idea of burning the Qur’an to commemorate an unfortunate event that has been condemned by everyone, including Muslims who this sets out to offend?
Two wrongs do not make a right! You do not fight terrorism by instigating what causes terrorism. We all know that the burning of the Qur’an will galvanize those in favor of violence around their misguided ideas; but most importantly, it will cause untold pain in the hearts of over one billion people who have no reason to hate Christians.
Is there any reward in causing pain to anyone?
Just for suggesting this act of grave lunacy the pastor has shown he is no different from the fanatics (terrorists) he claims to be fighting against.
America and Americans need to bring this pastor to order. The very laws that he thinks guarantee his misguided actions also provide for the safeguard of American lives everywhere. His action will no doubt put American lives at increased risk everywhere in the world, in addition to jeopardizing world peace.

To billions of people across the world, who suffer daily from all manner of afflictions...their only source of comfort...is the word of God.
If we cannot yet give them everything we... ourselves enjoy...let us not take away what they have left/

Certainly there’s absolutely NO rewards except in KIND, in causing pain to anyone; be it a believer/non. This lunatic-cum-pastor got to know that 9/11 affected both Christians & Muslims as well as non-believers. One got to fight injustice for ALL when attempting; not just for a particular sect/group with grave misguided agenda. Except for defending to save own & other lives under a circumstance in an equal barbaric hostile situation, Islam NEVER instigated/called for violence at any time. Jihad by sword/arms ended with Mohammad’s (SAW) establishment of the religion. The only Jihad to be fought for now’s by preaching the word of God & sees to redress of injustices to all & any affected, be it in America, Arabia/tyrannical Gambia, regardless of faith, creed & affiliation. God bless us all in our endeavours to see peace in the world.
