Burkina Puts Gambia Under pressure
Saturday, 26 March 2011 20:50
Gamsports - The Gambia has been put under pressure in her 2012 Cup Nations campaign with a victory by Burkina Faso on Saturday.
The Stallions, who beat Gambia last November have moved to six points, after beating group minnows Namibia 1-0 in Ouagadougou. With The Gambia not playing until October, thanks to Mauritania's withdrawal, Burkina would meet Namibia again in Windhoek in June before coming to Banjul in November. In any case the Gambia must now win her remaining two matches to entertain any hopes of reaching her first African Nations Cup.Written by Lamin Cham
