Every time any issue comes up concerning Yahya Jammeh, Many half blinded Gambians fooled by his small handouts
would jump high defending him . Now let me see how they defend these, I want to share this knowledge with Gambians both at home and abroad that while Yahya Jammeh parades before us as a defender of going back to the Land, he had transported gross sections of his extended family members to London and other cities in the UK paid £30,000 cash for four bedroom houses across UK. One of such is inside Croley in London for some of his boys while others live in cities and towns like Coventry, Reading and Bournemouth. How can Yahya Jammeh think he is smart? Calling on people forced into beggars to go back to the land while he sends all his close relatives abroad to settle? How can somebody justify such move when one hides behind presidential immunity attacking the West when in your heart of hearts you want your children to become citizens of the west and possibly no!Gambians if they so choose? Even if your ‘MBINDAN’ (maid) gets ill, he/she travels abroad for cure. Infact recently his mum our Auntie (who ofcause was a good woman when I knew her), was transported abroad for medical attendance while some of us travel on bicycles, donkeys etc.. to health centers with barely drugs for hope. Yahya Jammeh I pray you rethink of days pre 1994. That would help you a lot before it’s too late. Those family guys of yours barely speak any good English infact one of them is from Cassamance you know who I mean and also a close member of the Jammeh Family.
While average Gambian strive for bread and fish, our so called champion of advancing Gambia with oil,trains from Basse to Basnjul vis Kanilai possibly when ever its becomes a reality which might be when he is celebrating 70 years in power, force feed innocent patients with KUBEH JARA claiming to be a doctor without formal training is indeed sad for Africa and the Gambia in particular. The Jammeh I knew and which many Gambians barely heard of pre 1994, always talks crab in my view. With emptied all the state coffers, the country now rely whole on him as his wealth is more than the entire nation chei God do we really deserve this?. Gambians should know even the mangoes they cultivate for Yahya Jammeh are not consumed by Gambians but sold at Tescos and Sainsburys in the UK. While this so called champion of Africanism, behind the scenes scrolls begging the West to recognise his illegitimate government.
Yahya Jammeh had been trying to come close to President Obama for years without success infact am sure he is trying to just have a simple picture with the world’s most powerful man so as to take that to the Gambian people and have those pictures displayed everywhere so that Gambians can think look even Obama or Prime minister Cameron are now friends of his so we too should.
Anytime he tries and fails he comes out accusing the West of all sorts. Who would take this man seriously?
I can vouch out to Gambians that Fatou, Omar Sukai, Junkung , Sohna and Ablie are living in a five bed room house here in London (address and true identities, withheld for safety reasons). One of these boys I met and he invited me into the house where one would cry with anger when you are a Gambian once you stepped into that mansion house. "Everything e dai". They don't work but spends money like the royals even Gaddafi's family does not spend money like those boys and girls. They said they going to London School of Economics which I doubt very much because which school would accept such dudes when they cannot construct a command of simple English not even our Gambian English. Each of the five family members was given £12,000 said my host and I was asking myself, if that was the case plus the £30,000 house for a whole year. Where in God's name did Yahya get all that money from and with all the millions he dashes out to people and singers? I am sure Gambians must be either naive or just ignorant to think Dr. of Aids cure has bonkers of cases of money hidden somewhere.
When some of us were neglected by our government of just a year’s pay at primary, secondary or even university. One can now understand why Yahya Jammeh transferred the scholarship for Gambians studying abroad to his personal office and care. Yahya Jammeh chooses who benefits for state care and who do not without censorship. Even if one tries to strive and return home to create employment for so many frustrated young citizens, they crush you with force.
Take our brother Hassan Jarri Touray a guy I knew so well at Basse Mansajang Kunda when I was there teaching having so much love for his country, to have left the luxuries of US to go back home to contribute to nation building only to be imprisoned because somebody does not want any name but his. This is sad but one thing is certain Assan Touray would come out a national hero while his tormentors would go down in history as torturers and cowards.
Our problem slaving for Yahya, is nothing but greed and greed. That’s why we cannot see beyond our nose. How can one man who was as poor as most of us just out of the blue become Dr. of Aids cure, asthma, and all the sickness in the world and we believed him. Why was he not curing before he became thief of State and Commander in thief of our State wealth? Chei Gambia sometimes I cry for you because everyone of your sons are so scared of the underground torture chamber at the notorious NIA that even if one is lucky to have gone there and come out alive, they can never speak to anyone about it. It is true today Yahya or should I call him Oga? Is Gambia and only he counts and even God almighty is secondary when it comes to Yahya Jammeh. Maybe because with God, he kills with mercy and Yahya with cruel tortures before death I can understand if so but God is everlasting and Yahya is temporal. Today no one in the Gambia can openly talk about him. You talk to Gambians and the moment you mentioned Yahya Jammeh, they would either tell you ok boy speak to you later and drop the phone or they would politely tell you let’s not talk about politics please let’s just discuss as family without mentioning anyone's name.
What have we become as Gambians? God we are crying come to our Aid Yahya Jammeh has terrorised everyone and the only information for the plight of Gambians comes from outside the Gambia as those inside can never dare talk to the press or outside world for fear of reprisals from the Libyan Mathaba terrorist camp trained Green Boys and Girls. Oh my God Gambia what have they turned YOU into? A terrorised police state? Chei my body shivers when I think of my beloved homeland. A country once a beautiful smiling coast with free, peace loving people, a tourist paradise, has now turned into something even scary to the angel of death himself.
I am sure Gambians would get rid of Yahya Jammeh as we heads to the polls on Election Day in November. But what about the IEC? Mustapha Carrol, Mustapha Carrol, Gambia is entirely in your hands and the freedom of her citizens. People across Africa have been crying for freedom and I do know we are capable of restoring our country back to tolerance, good neighbours and lovers of tribal co existence and Gambians would do their bit but it would be left to Mustapha Carrol and staff to deliver the true wish of Gambians and I hope they don't announce the results at State House again when Jammeh concede defeat.
God safe Gambia!
