Baby Scorpions to play Morocco in Under-17 qualifiers
Tuesday, 24 August 2010 21:20
The Gambia Under-17 national football team is scheduled to leave Banjul for Morocco on Wednesday, for their qualifying campaign
for the first-leg of the Africa Under-17 qualifiers. The match will take place in Casablanca, Morocco on Saturday.
The team includes a good number of first division players; including a few of those who helped the Gambia Under-17 team beat Algeria to lift the title in Algiers in 2009.
The Baby Scorpions, two times Africa Under-17 champions, have for the past three months undergone an intensive preparatory training ahead of this first-leg encounter with the objective of making a third appearance in the cadet championship in Rwanda in 2011.
