Arik Air passengers now get more

GBN - Arik Air passengers with Economy Class tickets can now upgrade to Business Class, the airline has said.
According to Arik Air, it has partnered with Optiontown to offer its Economy Class passengers the opportunity to upgrade to Business Class across its extensive network.
“Passengers will pay a fee once they have purchased an Economy Class ticket in order to upgrade to Business Class and enjoy the highest level of comfort and service such as extra leg room, access to Business Class lounges, priority check-in and priority boarding,” it says.
According to the airline, all a passenger has to do is buy an Arik Air Economy Class ticket and then visit www.optiontown.com, enter the booking reference, surname and e-mail address to retrieve the reservation and enter the flight code/ destination they want upgraded on.
Passengers will a sign up fee (approx NGN 620) and a nominal additional upgrade price which is a 75% saving compared to regular Arik Air Business Class fares. The passenger will receive an e-mail prior to departure notifying him/ her of the successful upgrade, it added.
Arik Air operates a fleet of 26 state-of-the art regional, medium haul and long haul aircraft. The airline currently serves 22 airports across Nigeria as well as Accra (Ghana), Banjul (Gambia), Cotonou (Benin), Dakar (Senegal), Freetown (Sierra Leone), Monrovia (Liberia), London Heathrow (UK), Johannesburg (South Africa) and New York JFK (USA).
The airline currently operates over 150 flights daily from its hubs in Lagos and Abuja.
