5 Gambians finally deported from Swiss

PassportBy Yusupha Cham
Swiss authorities finally succeeded in their bid to deport five rejected Gambian asylum seekers whose plane the Gambian authorities had earlier denied landing rights.
According to reports reaching Jollof News, the five Gambians were airlifted out of Switzerland over the weekend and have since been reunited with their families.
An insider at the immigration department in Banjul confirmed that the deportees were received at the Banjul International Airport by a Gambian immigration officer who processed them.
According to our source, the Banjul refused the Swiss landing rights earlier because Zurich did not obtain landing clearance for the flight carrying the deportees.

Mr.Quoter, what are your evidence to support your claim that the government is engage sending immigration officers to deport Gambians? I need clear evidence, no fabrications and lies, and that is our only difference.

This takes one with brains to figure out, whilst someone like yaya & sycophants will collaborate/act directly to have Gambian travellers deported from abroad on issues as trivial as “staining yaya’s name” by asking for asylum abroad.

Yaya jammeh’s government was engaged in sending immigration staff to Germany, for example & other places, to identify & return Gambian asylum seekers with claims to cleansing its image. With depth knowledge in world economic terrains, it doesn’t take a brainer to realise the immense economic implications for Diaspora contributions to economies of home nations & not only Gambia. Today, the remittances sent for up-keep of families & loved ones accounts for more economic sustenance nationally, far more than any sector except for the grants/loans acquired. The monies paid direct to governments/individuals in arranged repatriation schemes CAN’T match the overall contributions the deportees could contribute through sustenance of families & essential developmental projects they would’ve embark on, for example.

Jonga, I really agree with you.I do not know whether Gambia government knows it or not there are Gambians who are engaged in this business with the west.A group of Gambians led by someone called ZILL don`t know whether the name is correctly spell, who claim to be Gambia immigration officers who goes around Europe to identify Gambians and deport them back to The Gambia for just a few hundreds euros as their pocket tips that for sure does not reach the Gambia government budget.I am sure the deportation of these Gambians from Swiss must be their dirty and nasty operations.I appeal to the President to monitor the operation of the imigration officers closely and if the Gambia government is aware of this operation, then I suggest a reconsideration to it.What interest do they get from it? It is really a PTTY!

I am dissapointed that The Gambia goverment decided to accept these guys, and i hope that there is no incentives tied to the agreement, becau se knowing these Europeans they will do everything possible to succeed in their evil acts against Africans, and what is better than to bribe the African goverments,i am sick to my stomach and i hope the agreement is otherwise and the interest of the deportees were considered
in the process...
