Sunday, 04 December 2011 00:18

They said we seat in our comfortable homes in the West and talk blah blah on the net; we say if they think we seat in our comfortable homes in the West
Yanks Darboe
For this reason, we call on all Gambians in the United Kingdom to mark the following date in their diaries; 16 December 2011. We urge all Gambians concerned about the welfare of the Gambian people to come out on this date and join us at the Commonwealth Sectariat Office, Marlborough House, Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5HX to protest against Jammeh’s stolen mandate. The nearest tube station to the place is Green Park station on the London underground. We hope to start gathering there by 12pm till 4pm. We chose the Commonwealth Sectariat Office, in order to express our dissatisfaction of their endorsement of the fraudulent election results of the Gambia. We hope to urge the Commonwealth Sectariat to reject the preliminary report of their election observers to the Gambian.
This event is not the only event that is on the pipeline against Jammeh’s stolen election for this year and next year. We are working on an even bigger event in the United States. We shall notify you all, as to when and where this event will take place. The London event will be conducted in conjunction with the Amnesty International and other Gambian concern groups. We thank Dr Ebrima Ceesay, Mr Pa Modou Bojang, Mr Suntu Touray, Mr Bamba Mass, Mr Siaka Jatta, Mr Banoramas (Gambia Matters Party), Mr Lamin J Darboe (Lawyer), Mr Lamin Darboe (Lawyer) Mr Seedy Ceesay (Freedom), Mr Abdoukarim Sanneh, Mr Abdoulie Jobe, Mr Malik Kah, Mr Sanusi Owens (lawyer), Mr Kanjura Kanyi (Chairman UDP UK), Mr Sarjo Bajang, Mr Alieu Badara Sowe; Mr Alieu Badara Ceesay, Mr Yusupha Cham (JollofNews), Mr Ebrima Chogan (Balangba) for all their efforts to ensure that the 16 December 2011 will be a success.
.
Amnesty International is also working on a worldwide Gambian Day of Action, which will be staged in many countries worldwide and we would urge all Gambians worldwide to attend these events.
As the International protests gain momentum; we will be informing and encouraging our brothers and sisters in the Gambia to stage their own big event in the Gambia emulating our efforts in the diasporas. This will be the climax of the events and the last day of Yahya Jammeh as our tyrant. We hope to stage this event on Yahya Jammeh’s swearing in date; which will be announced once Jammeh announces his swearing in date. The coward will never be sworn in for his stolen mandate. All Gambians are urged to call their family and friends to go out on that date and fill the streets; chanting “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH; WE NEED CHANGE!” The place to converge will be from West Field Junction to Tabokoto, along the Serrekunda Brikama High Road.
Just as we call on our family and friends to go on to the street; so must we also call our family and friends in the security forces to deliberately refuse to go to work on that date or phone in sick on that date. If they, for some reason, turn up to work on that date, let them not obey orders to shoot and kill their brothers and sisters.
Come on Gambians we can do this!!! Just imagine of waking up on the next relieve of the thought of Yahya Jammeh and all his nonsense talking on the TV and the Radios; imagine that relief and that joy of freedom. Tell me Gambians if this is not worth the strive! I say yes indeed, it is worth the sacrifice. Imagine the release of your love ones and friends from Mile 2 central prison. Imagine the death of the NIA, that force of darkness; imagine accessing every internet website of your choice; imagine seeing hundreds of Gambians, who have fled, returning home with their broad smiles of joy. Tell me Gambians, if this is not worth the sacrifice; I say yes indeed it is worth every sacrifice!
So my people I call on you to take charge and lets emancipate ourselves from this mental slavery of Yahya Jammeh. We challenge: Mr Joe Sambou, Mr Bamka Manneh, Mr Pa Samba Jow (Coach), Mr Haruna Darboe, Mr Yero Jallow (Gainako), Dr Baba Galleh Jallow, Dr Abdoulie Saine; Mr Pa Nderry Mbai (freedom); Mr Yankuba Jambang (Sengambia); Mr Falai Baldeh; Mr Pa Saikou Kujabi (New York); Mr Karamba Suwareh; Mr Lamin Darboe; Mr Yahya N Darboe; Mr Mboge, (UDP US); Mr Omar Bah; Mr Musa Saidykhan; and Mr Mathew K Jallow, to coordinate our demonstrations in the US.
We challenge Gambians in France, Spain, Italy, Germany to coordinate similar events in their respective countries. Please send us emails to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. For those living in Sweden; we challenge Mr Yahya Dampha, Mr Sadibu Jadama, and Mr Dodou Sanneh to coordinate in that country. As we write; the maddog of Banjul is organising a month long festival in his home town of Kanilai to celebrate his stolen victory of our people’s votes. It is a month long celebration that will be marred by unlawful sex and waste of state resources. Whilst life continues to prove hard for many Gambians, for life is indeed hard for Gambians at present: a bag of rice costs one thousand Dalasis; a cup of rice almost fifty Dalasis; whilst a cup of sugar costs fifty Dalasis. The average salary for the Gambians is still less than a thousand dalasis. Imagine how many people are living below poverty line in the Gambia. Yet Yahya Jammeh collects money from the Central bank any how he likes and blow it on nothing more than biscuits. He throws biscuits on our people like a man feeding chickens in the streets. My people if we do nothing; nothing will be done for us.
Your people are in grip of fear; they struggle every day under the mental slavery of Yahya Jammeh. Yet Yahya Jammeh was not sent from the sky, he was the boy from the neighbourhood; that poor and stupid boy from Kanilai. Today he pretends to be the god sent from the sky; the country’s most powerful man; richest man; most educated man with every educational accolade attributed to his name; the divine spiritual healer; the witchdoctor who cures any medical condition of the planet earth. My people it is only in the Gambia where a person can claim to be so powerful, so intellectual, so spiritual and so godly; for simply being a president. My people let us not accept Jammeh’s insults to our intellect. Our people deserve better and surely enough is enough!!
