Dr Janneh’s Driver Testifies
Tuesday, 08 November 2011 22:45
(JollofNews) - The personal driver of Dr Amadou Scattred Janneh today gave evidence in the ongoing treason trial against him and others.
Dr Janneh, a former communication minister in the Jammeh regime together with Michael C. Ucheh Thomas, Modou Keita and Ebrima Jallow are jointly charged with conspiracy to commit treason and seditious intent contrary to the laws of the Gambia.

In his testimony, Pa Abdou Ceesay told the court that the T-shirts bearing the slogan 'Coalition for Change Gambia, End Dictatorship Now' were distributed by Dr Janneh at his Commits office.
He added that a replica of the T-shirt was also given to him by his boss.
“When I got home, I wanted to wear the T-shirt but was told not to wear it by my father because of the message “Coalition for Change Gambia, End Dictatorship Now,” he said.
Mr Ceesay told the court that the accused persons were up to bringing change in the Gambia, but was quick to add that he did not know how they wanted to proceed in their project.
Asked by Defence Lawyer Lamin S. Camara, whether his refusal to wear the T-shirt was based on his father’s advise, Mr Ceesay answered in the affirmative.
Mr Ceesay however, told the court that he cannot say he liked the wordings on the T-shirts because of the barrier in understanding Shakespeare's language.
Also giving evidence, another prosecution witness Mariama Darboe told the court that she had distributed some T-shirts bearing the slogan 'Coalition for Change Gambia, End Dictatorship Now' to some friends.
Dr Janneh and his co accused have denied treason and sedition charges.
The case continues.

I just realised that you raised some issues in you postings #47,48 & 49 which I didn't respond to....Such as salary increment across the board,Jammeh's generosity, kombo coastal roads, rural electrification , personalised institutions, scholarships, etc...I hope you didn't think that I ignored those points....
IF HE DID NOTHING, NOTHING WILL HAPPEND TO HIM.
In my conclusion, never underestimate an opponents Janneh and co (CGC) were very clever ppl and wouldnt call them amateurs.
Senegal complicit? No i dont think so...I believe Senegal was deceived by CGC.
Good night
I suggest you stop there because you are creating a case that is completely different from this one...
'executed reconnaissance planning material'....'establishment of regional co-ordination centre in Senegal'...'deception event...to support a deception operation'...Whaaaaat ! This is a big military operation you are talking about, with the possible complicity of Senegal...NO...NO....NO...That is definitely not the case here...None of the people in the dock have even the most basic military training or background...How could they carry out such an operation ?
The manner of T-Shirt distribution...using office computer to process incriminating evidence,as claimed by police, suggests AMATEURISM and not PROFESSIONALISM ...Your scheme would require professional military know how and involvement...Not rank and file material but officer material of captain or above rank for it to succeed...
Therefore militarily, 'deceiving tactics' is the worst form of regime change than any other tactics in military science. It creates chaos, mistrust, mayhem and bloodbath (Tunisia, Syria, Libya etc) which results to toppling of governments at very high cost.
CGC'S aim is abundantly clear...that they want to topple the current government...No mistake about that.
The Gambia security services has a responsibility and mandate to prevent callous acts like that of Janneh and co...an act that if not prevented would have brought about instability and bloodbath.
May peace continue to reign in our country. Once again I pay tribute to the precision of our national security services in mainting peace in the country
Stage 3 (CGC as mentioned in their audio saying "Yes ! Even members of the security services are expected to join the struggle..." ), this was to make event even more confusing for any sensible person. Clearly using their own collaborative mecernaries, light snipers insurgents will be mounted at this stage. I repeat, the aim is usually to create much havoc as much as possible with little fire power. There my analysis is that snipers would have been involve in a concentrated crowded areas of stage two by in killing people in cold blood sniper attacks.
Creation of that kind havoc as to who is pulling the triggers/bullets in killing innocent people as seen in arab springs (Libya, Tunisia etc), blames are normally usually pointed at the government security forces (to the satisfaction of detractors/coup plotters).
Under such practices of covert reconnaissance of materiel planning/executions, clueless/deceited security agencies (eg Libya, Tunisia, eqypt, syria etc) will NATURALLY resort to the mounting of preemptive MASS arrests of civilians. But wait a minute, there is a twist for the deceiter...Such mass arrest by a state security apparatus will AUTOMATICALLY result to mass citizenry discontent...
Point (3) Vehicle travelling at "High Speed"...I'm glad that even you have seen the absurdity of this point and so you put the words High Speed in inverted commas,("High Speed")meaning not real but so called...In any case, the speed of the vehicle, unless its over the speed limit (which is a different matter)is irrelevant in this case..
As for points (4) and (5),I am aware that the prosecution claims to be in possession of evidence, includ ing a hard disk,to support these points...So I will wait to see what these evidences are before I comment on them...But so far the case has not been substantiated,i n my view...
