In an interview with Jollofnews from his base in Holland, theDenis_Winter2 spokesman said his country has sent an envoy to Banjul who is currently gathering information on the matter. "Our deputy staff from the Dakar Embassy is in Banjul meeting Gambian government officials and we expected them to provide us with an autopsy report of Mr Winter's death to ascertain the cause of death. This is a very serious matter which is very important to us," he said. This is the latest top level Dutch official to make remarks on the mysterious death in custody of Milgo Winter, just days before he was due for sentencing on a drug charge. Mr Manneh, The Dutch Government is competent and responsible one, different from the one we have now in Banjul and before him. Every citizen's right has to be protected, and that's what Dutch Government is doing right now in Banjul! If Mr. Winter has been guilty of Drug trafficking in the Gambia, who was he dealing with? We all know what is going on in the Gambia.

Quoting Saboujang Manneh:
How many Gambian died outside and no explanation was given. It is high time we stop bowing down to the European.

How many Gambian died inside their own country at mile 2 etc and no explanation was given. That is worse than abroad. It is high time you stop blaming all down to the Europeans.U have been in Europe for the past 25 years and do Gambian know how many died in mile 2 and detentions and no explanation was given and you are quite in your 25 years in Europe? but when they want to know what happened to their citizen you are suddenly alert pretending to be patriotic. Where were you when all those Gambians died under yahya thugs in mile2 and elsewhere and are still missing in their motherland? If I was a police I will arrest you since it seems you are responsible for all those deaths and U are about to be disclose and U are crying fowl precisely what Yahya does to Gambians wit "europe cries" to gain sympathy and deflect the truth.

Mr Manneh, an autopsy is a legal requirement in most western countries. if a person dies, no burial takes place until the authorities ascertain the cause of death. This is normal practice. The law does not discriminate and every human being deserves humane treatment even if they are drug dealers.

This is a simple issue of ascertaining the death of a suspect in the custody of a government that is infamous for it's humans rights violations. No more no less!

This is what a responsible government does for it's citizens, unlike the cover ups and and lies that have characterized the cases of Gambian citizens, from Deyda Hydra to Sgt.Illo Jallow and many others.
